Every spiritually healthy Christian wants to grow in his relationship with God through every month and every year of his life. As we know Him more and more closely, our lives will be changing. We will become more and more like the awesome God we so admire.
Another way for us to grow and change spiritually is through helping other people to come to know the Lord and to also grow spiritually. If you are a person who does not know how to share the good news about Jesus Christ with other people, you will need some clear training on how to do that. This discipleship training will train you to share the gospel. In addition, you will be discipled by one of our mature, qualified trainers who will be praying for you as you share the Lord with each of your family members and your good friends. Your new discipler will also help you think through the best approach in sharing the Lord with each of these key people in your life.
Everything in life takes time. You will find that in order for you to add a new activity (such as discipleship training) to your regular weekly schedule, you will need to stop doing something else. Perhaps your first thought is “I’m way too busy at this time in my life. Maybe there will be time for being discipled after I become old and retire from my work.” Even though everything in your present weekly schedule may seem very urgent, nothing is as important as growing in the Lord. So the challenge is to begin to manage the urgent things of life well enough to create time to become a disciple of Jesus Christ.
